Counseling as an Investment
I believe that counseling is an investment in oneself...and is often the most positive and impactful life-altering investment that we can make.
Early in my own life, I had the immense good fortune to meet an inspirational, warm, and compassionate counselor ⎯ and made the decision then that I would always place a priority here. Sometimes, it meant deciding to pay for a counseling session and forgoing something else. I’ve since found that taking care of the ‘inner me’ often means that I feel less pressure to change the ‘outer me’ because I’m so much more comfortable in my own skin. On the flip side, I’ve also encountered many clients who wanted to spend more time, effort, and money on their ‘outer selves’ because, through counseling, they realized, “I AM worth it!”
Either way, counseling is an investment in oneself ⎯ and I remain committed to helping clients make the very, very most of that invaluable investment.
Counseling Fees
My standard fees for 60-minute counseling sessions are $185 for an Initial Assessment session and $165 for subsequent sessions.
Fees for other services, including supervision, consultation, workshops, and group counseling vary, so please reach out if you're interested in these.
Having worked for nearly two decades at a community agency that did not charge for counseling services, I remain committed to helping clients access therapy by utilizing their health insurance when possible and am therefore a paneled provider with a few select insurance plans. Please feel free to contact me or your plan's administrator if you have any questions about your specific coverage, including whether I am In-Network.
I am happy to provide a Statement for Insurance Reimbursement (also known as a ‘Superbill’) for clients who would like to see me but for whom I am Out-of-Network. These clients are welcome to then file their own insurance for Out-Of-Network reimbursement; it's an option utilized by many of my clients.
Additionally, I am NOT a provider for Medicare or Medicaid.
I accept Cash, Check, and Credit Card (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Many Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) also provide Credit Cards that I am able to accept.
